False Hope
Whenever we go to a pharmacy store, I let my wife get a bottle of pain killers since she often complains about back ache and muscle pains. I also take some pain killers once in a while. But what I did not know is that my wife have been addicted to pain killlers and other drugs. I found out about her addiction when she collapsed while she was cooking dinner and when we rushed her to the hospital, she was diagnosed with overdose. Unlike other cases of overdose, she did not take 50 pills in one time, she was actually taking almost ten pills a day until her body get intoxicated with the anti depressants and other pain killers she was taking in her body. When we checked our medicine cabinet there were only a few bottles of drugs there that is why I was very unsuspecting. But when I look at her drawer there was a false bottom, I did not know it since she bought the drawer, what I found on the false bottom of the drawer shocked me beyond explanation. There were almost a thousand different colored pills in plastic bags. I know Valium when I see one, there were about a fifty Valium pills in the bag. That was the time I realize, my wife will be needing some professional help. I know the reason why she had been addicted to drugs, it was due to her latest miscarriage and the news that she could no longer bear a child. I thought she was over it but I was wrong. That same day I logged online and checked on the best drug rehabilitation center
in our area. Good thing I was able to find an addiction intervention that has a good addiction intervention program. My wife needed to have a comprehensive drug detox and a healing program. I know it will take some time but we can make it through this tough time in our life. Admitting her in a drug rehab center will be our first step for recovery.
